The Rest of Utah

I don't have much motivation to blog about what I did in Utah since all my sisters have beat me to it, yet here goes part 2.  Mostly pictures again.  Enjoy it anyways.

Me and the girls at the kid table.

Dave trying to be me with the girls at the kid table.

Once again...my mother.  I had a traumatizing childhood and prefer not to talk about it.

We decided to watch our FAVORITE music video ever...the Michael Jackson special that comes on before Free Willey.  As kids, we loved to watch it and dance along.  We thought it was the funniest thing in the world.

Then, we decided to really groove and have a dance party.

Days 1 2 3 4 in Utah

Looking through the thousands of pictures I received from our Utah trip, I realize that there is something very strange about my family.  You're lucky to know us.  The following pictures took place on only our first 4 days in Utah.  It was CRAZY hectic.

Our first day in Utah began with a grown-up date night with the siblings, their mates, and mom and pop.

Day two was a progressive dinner - breakfast style.  I must say, that my jammies are the best.

Luis got some talk time with Jason.
And I got talk time with the kids.

Afton is the smart one.  She was trying to get away from us crazies.

This is my mom.  Do you wonder why we are the way we are?

I was the designated Polar Express narrator.
As you can see, everyone was mesmorized.

We decided to make our own stockings, but when Luis told me he wanted his to be Mexican, I wondered if I should just make his for him.  He got really into it and even sewed on his jingle bells.  They turned out really cute, if I do say so myself.

That night Luis got to make his first gingerbread (aka graham cracker) house EVER!

We also got to see my nieces perform their Christmas songs at school.

We also got to jam with the elves at Gardner Village.

And of course, mom made us frost sugar cookies because I am a sugar cookie diva.

I Am Back

Yes it has been a long time since I last posted.  Most of you I know are having withdrawls.  Some have slunk into mild depression.  A couple of you are rocking in the corner.  However, the sun has come out and I am back.  Part of my long absence was a lack of anything interesting to blog about.  Partly, I was gone for 2 weeks to visit my motherland.  But what about post New Years?  I have been on the couch, suffering as no one should suffer with a horrible, nasty, miserable cold.  As I endured, I learned some things that I would like to share.

1.  The human body produces 1 liter of mucus per day.  Mine produces 3.
2.  Vaporizers are somewhat traumatizing.  They resemble monster faces, glow in the night, and creepy-breathe at me like a phone stalker.
3.  Luis and I can last at least a week on food storage.
4.  I can last a week on popsicles and jello.
5.  Luis eats cactus and egg with ketchup.
6.  I can sleep propped upon 3 pillows.
7.  I get strange looks when pulling out a roll of toilet paper from my purse to blow my nose.
8.  Luis is a very effective soother.  He strokes my hair and reads his research behind why snow is white.  (Now I feel better!)
9.  The only time I like milk on my cereal is when I'm sick.
10.  I need some training on how to brush my teeth when my nose is plugged up.
